CST Coal supports the next generation with donation to the ELITE program
The Grande Cache Community High School Elite Program is an in-depth vocational education program that has been running in the community of Grande Cache for over 30 years. The program offers local students in grades 10, 11, and 12, an opportunity to learn about the various trades including Automotive, Small Engines, Welding, Sheet Metal, Machining, Millwrighting and Electrical.
CST Coal has donated a Scotchmans’ IronWorker to the ELITE program. According to Greg Nolan, Trades Education Teacher, “This large piece of industrial equipment will last decades and greatly improve our programs ability to teach the many different trades involved in metal work. We will be able to utilize this machine to test bend students welds, shear, punch, bend, coup and essentially work with all of the different types of industry standard steel to continue to improve our students welding and fabrication skills.”
CST Coal is a proud supporter of the youth in Grande Cache and thankful for the dedicated work and the continued community support of Teachers like Greg Nolan and John Hammer.
